When you fill in the enquiry form I collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you need and anything you write in the message box. If you ring or email me instead, I have whatever you tell me in that call or email.

The website also records basic technical information such as the pages visited and rough location, so I can see which parts of the site are useful.

To reply to your enquiry, quote for the work, arrange a visit and carry out the job. That is a legitimate interest in running my business and, once you accept a quote, performance of our contract. I keep records of gas work and installations where I am required to by law.

I do not send marketing emails and I never sell or share your details for it.

Only me, and the services I use to run the site and manage enquiries: the website host, my email provider and the customer enquiry system that receives the form. Gas Safe Register and manufacturers are notified where a job requires it. I will hand information to others only where the law requires it.

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within about 12 months. Job records, invoices and gas certificates are kept for at least six years because tax and safety rules require it.

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I am not required to keep it. Email johareplumbheat@gmail.com and I will sort it within a month. If you are not happy with how I have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site and the enquiry form to work at all. Others are used to count visits and see how people found the site. The banner on your first visit lets you accept those or stick to the essential ones, and your choice is stored in your browser. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
