24 hour emergency plumber

Burst pipe, no heating, water coming through a ceiling. Ring me and I will talk you through making it safe while I am on my way.

What to do before I arrive

Find your stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink, and turn the water off. If water is near lights or sockets, kill the power to that circuit. Put a bucket under the worst of it and open a tap downstairs to drain the system.

If you can smell gas, ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first, then ring me.

How I price emergency work

Call outs are £80 for the first hour and £30 for every hour after that. If parts are needed I tell you before I fit them. No meter running quietly in the background.

Common questions

How quickly can you get to me?
From Bedlington I am usually with you inside an hour across Northumberland, and inside 90 minutes in Newcastle, Cramlington, Blyth, Morpeth and Ashington. I tell you an honest time on the phone before I set off.
What does an emergency call out cost?
£80 for the first hour, then £30 for every hour after that. If parts are needed I tell you the cost before I fit them.
Do you really answer out of hours?
I answer messages through the day and the phone out of hours for genuine emergencies. If I cannot get to you quickly I will say so rather than leaving you waiting.
Where is my stopcock?
Most commonly under the kitchen sink, sometimes in a downstairs cupboard or near the front door. Worth finding it now rather than at midnight.
