Craig is a long-standing customer in Bedlington. Over the years I have done several jobs for him, including keeping an old boiler going until he was ready to replace it, then updating the main bathroom and en-suite. The work was staged across a number of half-day visits while I fitted other jobs around his schedule.
Craig had an older boiler that had been nursed along for a while, plus a bathroom and en-suite that were ready for an update. Rather than do everything at once, we planned the work in stages so it could be fitted around his availability and other jobs I had on.
The aim was reliable heating downstairs and two bathrooms that felt modern, clean and easy to keep.
Once the old boiler was no longer worth repairing, I fitted a new Baxi combi in the existing location. The gas and heating pipework was tidied up, a MagnaClean filter was added to protect the new boiler, and the system was flushed before commissioning.
I registered the warranty and notified Gas Safe so the install is fully compliant.
Both the main bathroom and en-suite were finished in large-format marble-effect porcelain with black brassware and a matt black towel rail. The main bathroom has a walk-in shower over the bath with a black framed glass screen, and the en-suite was updated with the same palette so the two rooms feel consistent.
All waste, hot and cold feeds were re-run where needed, and the rooms were fully sealed and tested before handover.
Because Craig was happy for the work to be done in stages, I carried it out across several half-day visits while managing my other jobs. This kept disruption down and meant the heating and water could be left working at the end of each day.
