This was a straightforward maintenance job that had been left too long. The old flexible waste had sagged and the pipework behind it was a mix of odd fittings and unsupported runs. I stripped it out and put it back properly.
A void full of old flexible waste pipe, loose fittings and unsupported copper. Nothing was clipped properly and the waste run had sagged, which causes blockages and smells over time.
The old waste and fittings came out completely. I re-ran it in solvent weld with proper falls, supported the copper in straight clipped runs, and made sure everything could be reached for any future work.
It was pressure tested and left running before I boxed it back in.
No more flexible pipe, no more sagging waste, and no more mystery fittings. Just tidy, accessible pipework that will outlast the room around it.
