I fit full bathrooms in Hexham and the villages round the Tyne valley. One person start to finish, so you are not chasing four different trades and nobody is blaming anybody else.
A lot of Hexham housing is older stone and solid wall, and bathrooms in those properties nearly always throw up something: uneven floors, timber that needs strengthening before a stone resin tray goes down, or pipework that has been added to over decades with no plan.
I strip back and put it right rather than tiling over the top. It takes a bit longer but it is the difference between a bathroom that lasts fifteen years and one that leaks in two.
Some properties out here have poor mains pressure, which makes for a disappointing shower whatever you spend on the valve. I measure the flow rate first and, where it is needed, fit a pump or an unvented cylinder so the shower actually performs.
Strip out, first fix plumbing and any electrics, board and tank the wet areas, tile or clad, then second fix and commission. I keep the site tidy, sheet the route in and out, and take the old suite away.
Typical full refit is one to two weeks depending on size and tiling.
Every job is different, so these are guide figures rather than a quote. You always get one fixed written price after I have seen the work.
Tell me what you need and I will come and look at it. You get the price before I start.
