Ashington is on my regular patch. I fit new gas boilers here for homeowners and landlords, quote a fixed price after looking at the property, and stick to it.
A lot of the town is solid wall colliery terracing, and those houses have their own quirks: back boilers still lurking behind fires, flues in awkward positions, and gas supplies sized for an appliance fitted forty years ago.
Taking a back boiler out and fitting a modern combi is one of the most common jobs I do here. It frees up the fireplace, gets rid of the loft tanks, and usually knocks a serious amount off the gas bill. It is a two day job done properly.
Bigger is not better. An oversized combi cycles on and off, wears itself out and costs more to run. I work out the heat loss and the hot water demand and fit the right output for your house, not the one with the biggest number on the box.
Every job is different, so these are guide figures rather than a quote. You always get one fixed written price after I have seen the work.
Tell me what you need and I will come and look at it. You get the price before I start.
