Cramlington is ten minutes from my door, so it is one of the towns I am in most weeks. I fit combi, system and conventional boilers here, with a fixed price agreed before I lift a spanner.
Much of the town went up in the sixties and seventies as a new town, which means a lot of properties are on their second or third boiler and still running the original pipework and radiators.
On those houses a straight swap is rarely the right answer on its own. I check the gas supply is big enough for a modern combi, look at whether the microbore radiator pipework will give the flow rate you need, and flush the system properly so the new boiler is not immediately choked with old sludge.
On the newer estates around Northburn and East Hartford it is usually a clean swap and I can be in and out in a day.
I sheet up, drain down and get the old boiler out first thing. New pipework, filter and boiler go in, then the system is flushed and dosed with inhibitor.
Before I leave, the boiler is commissioned, the gas rate checked, the controls set up, and I run you through it so you actually know how to use it. The install is notified to Gas Safe and Building Control and your warranty is registered for you.
I do a steady run of combi swaps and full system upgrades across Cramlington and neighbouring Bedlington and Blyth. You can see photos and detail of real jobs on my projects page.
Every job is different, so these are guide figures rather than a quote. You always get one fixed written price after I have seen the work.
Tell me what you need and I will come and look at it. You get the price before I start.
