I fit new boilers right across Newcastle, from Tyneside flats in Heaton to family houses in Gosforth. Fixed price before I start, and no pressure sales visit.
In the Tyneside flats the flue route is usually the thing that decides where the boiler can go. There are rules about how close a flue can sit to windows, boundaries and neighbouring properties, and I check that on the survey rather than discovering it on install day.
Upper flats often have long condensate runs too, which need to be sized and insulated properly or they freeze the first hard winter and lock the boiler out.
A combi is not always right. If you have two bathrooms and people showering at the same time, a system boiler with an unvented cylinder will give you far better performance, and I will say so even though it is a bigger conversation.
I check the incoming mains flow rate on the survey. If the mains cannot deliver, no combi on the market will fix that, and it is better to know before you buy one.
Every job is different, so these are guide figures rather than a quote. You always get one fixed written price after I have seen the work.
Tell me what you need and I will come and look at it. You get the price before I start.
